So proud that col.lab's mission is expanding

STOP THE PRESS

We are happy to announce that our former Facebook page col.lab | collaboration laboratory will change name to become Digital Collaboration Academy official page as already reflected in the url: https://www.facebook.com/digitalcollab.academy/

Summer is here and it's the best time of the year to take stock and take a deep breath before going into the end of the year for the majority of the western world.

col.lab | collaboration laboratory is a permanent open space where ideas and people get together to create innovation with the power of conversations that matter and steer the direction of change for the better.

I am proud to realise that the small seed that was planted in 2018 is now flourishing in the shape of relevant col.laboratories that are having a sustainable impact on society and contributing to the post-pandemic recovery.

Greatest achievements in 2021

The Health Regions Summit in Funchal, Madeira 27-28 April

In close collaboration with the Regional Government of Madeira and Healthcare Secretary Dr Pedro Ramos, we have successfully hosted the first hybrid edition of the Health Regions Summit, with the keynote contribution of His Eminence Cardinal de Mendonça and WHO's Regional Director for Europe Dr Hans Kluge among other renowned healthcare leaders.

I am thankful to the support received from Sanofi Pasteur and Sectra, including the e-Book that will be edited in col.laboration with Prof. Cristina Vaz de Almeida.

Hosting Manitoba's CIN Network Spring Conference, 14 May

How can we create a #stigmafree world for HIV and STBBI?

Last May we have used the power of #artificialintelligence in Howspace, in combination with the most human connection of listening to the silence of each other breathing while typing the reflections about a full-day virtual journey hosted by the Collective Impact Network in Manitoba and around the world.

My heartfelt thanks to ninecircles fantastic team headed by Mike Payne and Lead Facilitator Laurie Ringaert.

Health Data Forum Global Hybrid Summit 28-29 October

I am proud to announce a col.laboration with MEDCIDS a renowned  department in the Oporto University's Medical School designed to host the Health Data Forum Global Hybrid Summit.

By 2040, radical interoperability will be a linchpin for the health care industry. Health care stakeholders who want to emerge as leaders in their use of data in the future of health should join us at the Health Data Forum Global Hybrid Summit in the beautiful city of Porto next 28-29 October.

Get Trained and Certified with the Digital Collaboration Academy

Don't Improvise Anymore, Talk to Your Meeting Doctors

Likewise, we have created a col.laboration to produce a regular series of hosted conversations with my latest book co-author Martin Duffy PhD. Together, we interview  other management experts that can advise you about how to transition to this new normal and take advantage of this incredible once in a lifetime opportunity to make the organization of your meetings more sustainable.

Digital Health Portugal: Shaping the Future of Health and Healthcare

With Pedro Cid FerreiraCucabytech's CEO we have started a col.laboration since 2020 - Digital Health Portuga - which is now gaining incredible momentum with national initiatives in support of the digital transformation in the healthcare sector.

Creating the Hospital and Nursing Homes of the Future, Today

Carlos Jaime is currently the General Manager France & Iberia at asccom and has an impressive career in Digital Health and Health Data having worked in large multinational companies such as Philips and Samsung among many others.

I am now actively working in the mapping of the ascom's ecosystem in Iberia and organizing a series of meetings and events for the co-creation of new business initiatives with a strong impact on patients well-being and the sustainability of healthcare systems.

Reaching out to China

Besides these col.laborations I have completed one of my book's translation in Chinese.

"Architecting Collaboration" is the title of a series of books devoted to group facilitation, its principles, methods, and techniques, that can be applied by anyone who believes in the power of collaboration and teamwork.

The second volume of this series, until now only available in Portuguese will be soon published in Chinese.

Written for coaches, professional trainers, and other types of HR consultants, who already have some contact with the management of group work and who wish to learn in more depth the principles and methods of group facilitation, according to the basic IAF competencies.

Watch a short 5 minutes video in Portuguese (subtitled in English) where I describe this book from chapter to chapter. You will learn the main focus of each one and what to expect from the book overall.

What's next?

Bring us your idea as we are eager to constantly expand our col.laboratories supporting a cause and bringing life to our mission by starting conversations that matter and change direction of change for the good.
