What's Our Purpose
The purpose of this project is to help leaders, organisations and communities move from ordinary meetings to genuine collaboration.
More specifically, it aims to teach people how to become "architects of collaboration": leaders or facilitators who design the conditions for groups to solve complex problems together, build consensus, make better decisions, and turn meetings into productive, participatory processes.
At its core, the project is about:
- Developing facilitative leadership
- Helping leaders adopt the values and practices of group facilitation, rather than relying only on top-down authority.
-
Improving meetings and workshops
Moving from conventional, low-engagement meetings to participatory workshops with clear purpose, process, outputs and commitments. -
Managing complexity through collaboration
Supporting groups when problems are ambiguous, multi-stakeholder, systemic or politically sensitive. -
Creating shared ownership
Ensuring that participants understand the issue, contribute meaningfully, co-create solutions and commit to implementation. -
Using process, space, memory and technology intentionally
Designing collaboration through the right agenda, facilitation methods, group memory, physical/digital tools and follow-up products.
The purpose of Architecting Collaboration is to equip leaders and facilitators to design participatory processes that transform groups into committed teams capable of solving complex problems together.
